Industry Gallery presenting Tejo Remy & René Veenhuizen

Industry Gallery, the only U.S. gallery focused exclusively on twenty-first century design, opened in January 2010 and its exhibitions have garnered international attention. The designers represented are a mix of established figures in the field and emerging talent, including Mathias Bengtsson, Nacho Carbonell, Jens Praet, Tejo Remy & René Veenhuizen, Antonio Pio Saracino and others. Most have had or will have their first solo US exhibition at Industry.

Occupying more than 4000sf of space in a converted auto repair shop, the gallery regularly holds exhibitions that illuminate a broad spectrum of international design created largely from modern, industrial materials including shredded and recycled magazines, glass, aluminum, latex and carbon fiber.

Gallery owner Craig Appelbaum gives each designer free reign to transform the high ceilinged, light filled exhibition space as they see fit. “One of my goals in opening Industry is to provide designers ample space for them to articulate their design intent,” said Appelbaum, “and to provide visitors with an opportunity to be enveloped and transported by the environment each designer creates.”
